Driver David Carballeda aims to end his successful 2025 season in the GT Challenge of The Americas on a high note, seeking a victory to reaffirm his regional dominance.
At the wheel of his legendary EVO VI, Carballeda secured the Central America and Caribbean championship title in the GTS Light Jr. category during the first two races of the GT Challenge of The Americas.
The championship will conclude with the traditional "Three Hours of Costa Rica" race, scheduled for the first week of December. This track, according to the driver, perfectly suits the qualities of his car.
"I am very motivated and fully confident that I can fight well up on the Costa Rican track," he stated. He added that his team is focused on ensuring the car runs clean and without failures.
In the days leading up to the highly anticipated race, the driver has been fully involved in the mechanical work being done by his technical team, aware that every improvement in the garage will be key to performance on the Costa Rican track.
"Our plan is to show why we are two-time champions of Central America and the Caribbean in our category. We have all the parts and we are sure that we will have a much better performance than the last one, which was not satisfactory in El Salvador," he explained.
He detailed that the car will have a practically new front end, in addition to a 0.62 turbo A/R, which will allow for a faster exit from corners and a more solid braking on the entries, "something that was not possible in El Salvador."
"We expect to recover speed and rhythm in Costa Rica," he added.
His technical team, formed by the duo of Antonio Roquer and Bolívar Fung, is focused on the car working cleanly and without failures. Fung is in charge of the engine, gearbox, and car's computer, while Antonio Roquer is responsible for the suspension, steering, and braking system.
With the EVO VI tuned to the last screw and a technical team determined to leave no loose ends, David Carballeda will land in Costa Rica with a goal as clear as it is fierce: to prove why he reigns in the GTS Light Jr. and seal his 2025 season with a victory that speaks for itself.
