García, who currently resides in Mexico with her aunt, recounted how her grandfather passed away this Monday, leaving a deep void in her life.
"Losses like these remind us of the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones," declared Maribel. Despite not being able to be present in Costa Rica to say goodbye to her grandfather, the journalist sent an emotional message through her social media: "When you are far away, you cherish those moments so much, that’s why I advise you to hug a lot. I love you very much."
The death of her grandfather adds to other family tragedies that Maribel and her niece have had to face, including the loss of Julián Figueroa in 2023.
